Our people

Rwandan educators, and the people who back them.

TEACH Rwanda is run day to day by an in‑country team of Rwandan educators. Around them sit a governing board and two advisory groups.

How it fits together

Four groups, one line of accountability.

The in‑country team in Rwanda runs the work. The Rwandan Advisory Board advises them on what fits Rwandan law, culture and expectations. The USA Board carries legal and financial responsibility. The Advisory Council contributes specific expertise where it is needed.

Decisions about what happens in a Rwandan classroom are made in Rwanda. That is deliberate, and it is the arrangement the Rwandan Advisory Board exists to protect.
